is actually three discrete, yet fully integrated, billing activities in one. There’s Billing Transactions which is used for posting and maintaining transactions, Insurance Billing for processing insurance claims, and Patient Billing to process your patient bills.
Each charge must be associated with an existing case and a particular visit. Transactions are posted on-line (immediately) to a patient’s account, and are grouped by batch for simplified reporting and confirmation purposes. Until a batch is ‘confirmed,’ changes can be made to any transaction entered into a batch. For verification purposes, batch control totals can be entered when a new batch is created.
Comments or notes can be associated with either an individual transaction or an entire patient’s account. As part of billing, the terms of the Insurance Contract can also be reviewed.
